The Renewell Foundation is excited to announce that the Maternal Mental Health Community Health Worker (MMCHW) program has officially reached a milestone of 1,000 trainees. This groundbreaking program is the first of its kind to represent the intersection of maternal health, mental health, and community health worker competencies.
The free, 170-hour program valued at $5500 per trainee was curated and designed to empower maternal mental community health workers with specialized knowledge and tools to support maternal mental health, has seen incredible growth and impact. With a focus on addressing maternal mental health conditions such as postpartum depression, anxiety, and psychosis, the MMCHW Certificate is helping to fill a critical gap in healthcare by equipping workers with the skills to offer compassionate, informed care to mothers and families in their communities.
