The Renewell Foundation was proud to present a poster and connect with the community at the Health Equity Alliance (HEAL) Summit in Denton, Texas. HEAL is located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, a long time partner of the Renewell team. The summit brought together passionate advocates, healthcare professionals, and community leaders to address pressing issues such as maternal health disparities, reproductive justice, and equitable access to clinical services.
Our participation in the event allowed us to engage with experts and organizations equally committed to improving health outcomes for marginalized communities, with a focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by mothers and families.
During the poster session, Renewell highlighted our free Maternal Mental Health Community Health Worker Certificate Program, designed to empower women with the skills and knowledge needed to support maternal mental health in their communities. The program aims to reduce maternal mental health disparities by equipping frontline workers with tools to provide care, education, and advocacy for mothers experiencing conditions like depression and anxiety.
Engaging in meaningful conversations at HEAL was an invaluable opportunity for Renewell to continue our work in promoting health equity and expanding access to maternal mental health resources. This year’s summit theme centered around Reproductive Health and will spotlight groundbreaking research on advancing maternal and child health equity. Participants were equipped with valuable insights and actionable strategies to drive more equitable health outcomes for parents and children.
